D2EHPA extractant
D2EHPA extractant has good ability for removing impurities in the process of extract nickel and cobalt, also be used to extract other metals. Normally it is named P204 Di-(2-ethylhexyl) phosphoric acid (D2EHPA or HDEHP).

D2EHPA extractant (di(2-ethylhexyl) phosphoric acid) is an organophosphorus extractant that is commonly used in hydrometallurgical processes to extract metals such as copper, nickel, cobalt, and rare earth elements from aqueous solutions.
It is a highly selective extractant that forms complexes with metal ions and transfers them from the aqueous phase to the organic phase. The organic phase containing the metal D2EHPA extractant complex can then be separated from the aqueous phase, allowing the metal to be extracted and purified.
D2EHPA extractant has several advantages as an extractant, including high selectivity, low toxicity, and the ability to operate at ambient temperature and pressure. However, it can also form stable emulsions with the aqueous phase, which can make separation of the organic and aqueous phases difficult.
