Copper Mining and Extraction

Copper is refined from ores in the ground, either through underground or openpit mines. Most of the copper ores mined today are oxide or sulfide ores. Extraction of sulfide ores is covered in more detail in Copper Mining and Extraction: Sulfide Ores, but is introduced here because an important byproduct
of this process is used for the extraction of oxide ores.

A/O or O/A – Aqueous/Organic, referring to volume ratio in the contactor

Please don’t use NaClO3 to process Copper Sulphide ore, it will break your copper extraction reagent, make a lot of trouble for you.

1. Aldoxime: With high extraction capacity, but can be used for greater acidity  liquid, also must add a lot of Modifier  and Antioxidant. However the reverse extraction, phase separation and stability are less than Ketoxime.
2. Ketoxime: Extraction capacity is smaller slightly, but the property of phase separation is excellent, easy to reverse extraction, chemical stability is good, and has strong inoxidability.
3. Mixed Aldoxime & Ketoxime: Not only has good extraction capacity, but also has good phase separation, easy to reverse extraction, has good chemical stability and strong inoxidability.
